If you missed Prem Sahib’s acclaimed exhibition at the ICA last year the Grand Union gallery in Birmingham is opening a solo show by the artist this month. Birmingham also sees one of the great American minimalists of the Twentieth century come to Ikon Gallery – Dan Flavin.

Sculptures from Sarah Lucas’ extraordinary show at the 56th Venice Biennale will be brought to the Soane Museum this month, the custard yellow of the drawing room having inspired the artist’s scheme at the British Pavilion.

Bloomberg New Contemporaries will be showing in three different venues across Nottingham before touring to London this year, with the Nottingham Castle Open on at the same time showing work from midlands-based artists. From there it is a short hop to see the brilliant Sir Terry Frost at Leamington Spa or artists including Jake and Dinos Chapman, Maurizio Cattelan and Marcel Duchamp in a series of exhibitions across Sheffield.
